Bulbs to Benefit Women for Women International

Garden Club of the Back Bay member Marian Brunck has brought to our attention a wonderful bulb purchasing opportunity.  Spring bulbs purchased from Pam Steel will benefit Women for Women International and the Run for Congo Women.  March 5 is the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, a time when women stand up to honor and celebrate those women working for equality, justice and peace.  The run on Saturday, March 12 is a way to take action, raise money, and invest in a woman of the Congo.  Pam Steel, who lives on Beacon Street in the Back Bay, will deliver (Back Bay – or call if you’re close and think you may be in bicycle range) bags of Scilla (18 bulbs per bag) or Daffodils (10 bulbs per bag) for the very reasonable price of $5 per bag, with proceeds going to Women for Women International.  Email Pam at psteel@mac.com to place your order, or call her on her cell at 203-206-1548.   Log on to www.womenforwomen.org to learn more about this fine not for profit organization.
