Nothing says summer better than a fresh tomato straight from the vine. In this Newton Community Farm workshop led by Jon Orren on Wednesday, August 9, from 6:30 – 8, you’ll have the opportunity to observe and participate in the creation of both simple preparations showcasing the fresh essence of summer tomatoes, as well as more elaborate recipes that will help you use up your surplus bounty. Attendees will sample all dishes, receive printed recipes and learn the definitive answer to the age-old question “Is refrigerating tomatoes really that terrible?” Friends of the Farm $20, general public $25.
